The EMT is responsible for delivering timely, safe, and compassionate care to patients of LifeMed Alaska within their scope of practice. The EMT safely operates ground ambulances in accordance with the guidelines and protocols of LifeMed Alaska.
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' experienced as a licensed driver or operator
Current licensure and/or certification as listed below:
Alaska EMT-I or EMT-II certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
State issued driver’s license with an insurable driving record
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups, often in highly stressful situations
Ability to work varied shifts and cover call shifts
LifeMed Alaska, LLC provides 24/7 critical care air ambulance services throughout Alaska with full-scope transports for adult, pediatric, neonate and high-risk obstetric patients using an advanced fleet of Learjets, turboprops, and helicopters. To ensure continuity-of-care to each patient, we offer on-demand ground ambulance service from our Anchorage base.
