The Flight Paramedic is responsible for working with the Flight Nurse in the delivery of advanced critical care to patients of LifeMed Alaska. The Flight Paramedic is jointly responsible with the Flight Nurse for all direct patient care in accordance with the guidelines and protocols of LifeMed Alaska.
High school gruduate of equivalent.
Minimum five years experience as an EMT-Paramedic, preferably in a large metropolitan area
Current licensure and/or certification as listed below:
Alaska MICP certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Trauma certification (TPATC preferred)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Must obtain certification as an FP-C within one year of hire
Complies with weight restrictions
Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate and work with a variety of people one-on-one and in large groups, often in highly stressful situations
Ability to work varied shifts
LifeMed Alaska, LLC provides 24/7 critical care air ambulance services throughout Alaska with full-scope transports for adult, pediatric, neonate and high-risk obstetric patients using an advanced fleet of Learjets, turboprops, and helicopters. To ensure continuity-of-care to each patient, we offer on-demand ground ambulance service from our Anchorage base.
