The Ground Paramedic will work under the supervision of the Satellite Manager. The Ground Paramedic delivers care to critically ill or injured patients. Patients may be transported between medical facilities or directly from the scene of an accident or illness. The Ground Paramedic assists with marketing and public relations activities of the program. The Ground Paramedic also may be called upon to assist in the Emergency Department and other hospital units according to RWMC policy. The Ground Paramedic performs other duties as assigned by the Satellite Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or designated representative.
Education: Graduate of an educational program for Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, or equivalent.
Licensure: Current State of Nebraska and Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic certificate/license.
Certifications/Credentials: BCLS, ACLS, PALS provider, instructor preferred. NRP provider preferred.
Experience: 1year experience at a paramedic level with and Advanced Life Support Service preferred.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written communication skills in multiple relationships with variety of cultural and social backgrounds. Ability to recognize, anticipate, and respond to the needs of all customers such as but not limited to: patients, family members, general public, physicians, staff members, law enforcement, fire, and (EMS) in a caring, respectful and courteous manner.
